A key sideman on the avant-funk scene over the past ten years, keyboardist Adam Klipple has logged countless thousands of miles in his worldwide travels with trombonist Craig Harris, trumpeter Michael Ray's Cosmic Krewe, trombonist Joe Bowie's Defunkt and trumpeter Graham Haynes' Electric Church. Manning his trusty Hammond B-3 organ along with his vintage Wurlitzer and Fender Rhodes electric pianos, Klipple is a consummate accompanist and potent soloist in any setting. But it is in the context of his own innovative, rocking funk-jazz quartet Drive-By Leslie that he gets to showcase his considerable skills as composer-arranger.
Adam's credits also include performances with the Sun Ra Arkestra, Sekou Sundiata, Marc Ribot, John Medeski, Kurt Rosenwinkle, Carla Cook, Dave Fiuczynski, David Gilmore, Josh Roseman, Vincent Gardner, Peter Apfelbaum, Joel Harrison, Jay Rodriguez, Groove Collective, and Smokey Robinson.

"On Blackjack, Drive-By Leslie's third and strongest release, Klipple fronts a feisty crew of funkateers including guitarist Brad Shepik, bassist Chris Tarry and monster drummer Keith Carlock, with tenor saxophonist Seamus Blake appearing as a special guest on three tracks. Together they conjure up comparisons to The Meters' laid back funk and the more sophisticated, insinuating grooves of Herbie Hancock's Headhunters while throwing in exotic touches of West African rhythms, Hindustani ragas and Central Asian modes along the way." - Bill Milkowski
